Malene Grotrian @ BCFW Spring/Summer 2010

I was looking forward to the Malene Grotrian show, I had heard good things about it, and I wasn’t disappointed. Here are a few of my favorites from the showing.

The amazing and beautiful Irene, working the hat like no one’s business.  I hope to work with her soon, when she feels better

I like pale skin and black clothing for contrasty black and whites..

Red is always an interesting touch, but hasn’t really been the focus of many designers at BC or Vancouver fashion weeks..

This one reminds me a little of the puffy shirt on Seinfeld, but much sexier!

I wouldn’t make a good fashion critic, since I am really picky about things (I have seen some ugly pieces shown) but the MG collection was really nice, not a bad piece in the bunch.

This one looks a little like a uniform to me, but works well.

New UPS spring fashions, maybe ; )

I was realy glad that we were shooting into darkness, made the models and pieces show up quite a bit more

I like the jacket

Then some formal-ish evening wear..

This one is my favorite, the  light falling on the back of her head/shoulder..  I wish she had a little more front lighting though.

and we finish with a happy designer after a successful showing.
